Message from the president of VIBHA

I see the future of Vijnana Bharati beautifully embedded in its name itself. The future of Vijnana Bharati is 'Bharatiya Vijnana' and we will try to bring it to the fore not only in the Indian context but also in the entire world context. Vijnana Bharati stands for the synthesis of science and spirituality for the service of humanity. We have three flagship programs, name Bharatiya Vijnana Sammelan, World Congress of Vedic Sciences and the World Ayurveda Congress, complemented by a spectrum of conferences, workshops and events covering research, education and extension.

Our publications, particularly the well received 'Science India' should reach out to more and more young minds who hold the key to India's future.We have already introduced a new program called Jnan-Vijnan Pratibha Pariksha (JVPP) along with ETH Research Lab and in this process we plan to reach thousands of schools.

We are creating and building a next generation organization that is a cluster of autonomic and empowered Prant hub units connected to their Division and District units, networked with Central HQ managed by its Governing Council. Vijnana Bharati cluster must extend to all district of India before 2010. It must also start reaching out beyond the shores of India. This is a big challenge but certainly doable with our dedicated band of people.

Vijnana Bharati is bringing science to the people and promoting grassroot innovations to solve the burning problems of India. It will especially empower women to take their rightful role in promotion and use of science to solve their special problems.

I believe the 21st century belongs to India and in this context Vijnana Bharati has a special role to play of endowing a new integral vision to Indian science making it holistic and people focussed. On behalf of the newly elected Govering Council, Founder Patron Prof. K. I. Vasu, Secretary General Prof. Vijay Didodkar and Organizing Secretary Shri A. Jayakumar who will captain the ship of Vijnana Bharati on its voyage of national transformation, I seek your full commitment and dedication to the mission Vijnana Bharat.
