The objectives of the mission is to, foster innovation of technologies, find sustainable solutions on energy and bring together technologists, policy makers, commercial organisations and entrepreneurs to facilitate its implementation. India's growing energy needs and its reliance on fossil fuel based energy sources is a threat to the energy security of the nation.
